Shawn Johnson is a woman who lives her life with faith, energy and a “nothing is impossible” attitude. She is a wife, mother, business leader and has recently stepped into the role of “Connect Coordinator” at our church. One of my favorite things about Shawn is her smile because when she smiles, you believe that nothing is impossible too. Your heart will be filled as she encourages you today.

God’s Handiwork

This is my favorite coffee cup…it’s my favorite color pink but more importantly, it reminds me every day to be who God made me to be.

In today’s society, it is easy to get caught up in social media, the internet and the news media of what we should be. We are constantly bombarded with what we should wear, how our image should be, what color our hair should be, what car is the best. It goes on and on and on. No wonder we are confused about who we are supposed to be.

Psalm 139:13 tells us, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

And Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

My friend, you are uniquely created by your Father to be exactly what you are.

Do not let anyone try to make you think differently.

For you are loved just as you are, just as you were created to be.

We are all works in progress in the loving hands of a loving Father.

You can be the best version of you because that is who God has created you to be today and on your way to being the best version of who He has created you to be tomorrow.
