Kindness
So needed these days and so rare to find.
As the years pass, it seems like the human heart has been hardened, we see people screaming at each other, there is no tolerance for one another, a rage of anger roars everywhere we go, we fight for what we think is right, trying to prove ourselves and forget the most important thing. We forget each other, our bonds, everything that brings us closer to one another. Have you tried one day just to go out of your comfort zone and do something good for someone other than yourself?
When was the last time you had a good laugh? When was the last time you took your eyes off the screen (tablet, tv, computer, etc) and enjoyed your surroundings? When was the last time you chose to be kind?
It is easy to get angry, discouraged, frustrated and disappointed when things don’t go the way we expect them to go, but it takes a humble heart to acknowledge that we have a God who is in control of all things, who cares for us, who loves us with an everlasting love and who is stronger in our weaknesses – 2 Corinthians 12:9-11. All we have to do is give it all to Him, believe who He says He is and seek to do what He asks us to do with a faith so strong that it makes no sense.
If we want to change the world, the first step is to change our heart, to dream God’s dream, to desire Him above all things, to seek His face and invite Him in. In everything we do become selfless and generously share Him everywhere we go with a light so bright that it’s seems from afar.
I pray your heart is filled with Jesus, may His kindness and love run through your veins so much that it’s uncontainable, may you experience His joy today and your hope be renewed in Him and through Him, may your thoughts be transformed to everything that’s true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, everything excellent and praiseworthy. May the peace of God be with you today and always, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen
